Slow Down...

Student:  How to get started,  in order to change my habitual thinking patterns? Master: Reconstruct.  The thinking pattern in mind is like a traffic system with many boulevards and highways.  When things come up and/or when things happen, automatically we take the super highway.  We respond to it simultaneously.  All the traffics or habitual thinking patterns in mind somehow become our second nature.  Seems that we don't have a chance to change it.  Now we need to slow down.  Slow down the speed of habitual thinking patterns. We need to put a sign with Speed Limit.   Practice by counting the numbers, 1,2, 3,½ to slow down.  If you don't slow down the speed of your thought, you have no chance to change it.
