弟子:如何在平時保持觉性?

和尚:如果你要练习觉性,试着在内心创造不同层次的平静。否则,觉性只是空想。在你练习打坐一个小时之后,你会达到某种程度的平静。你带着平静,但平静会渐渐消失。为什么平静会消失呢?因为你的我执又出现了。因为你开始走路并跟人说话,这就是为什么平静开始减少了。你需要回复平静,否则觉性或保持觉性的意义何在?如果你的平静降低到了这个程度,那么“保持觉性”就只有这么点大。继续用功,用功才能达到完美。

    Yes I think we need lots of reminders to stay calm and mindful. Otherwise we revert to habitual tendencies and forget to stay calm and peaceful. Thanks for sharing and reminding!

      Indeed. Everyone of us needs reminders from either self or from others. “Keep practice” as mentioned by Master will help a lot. And once calmness increases, you are able to see more “reality.”
